Biografi Muhammad bin Abdullah menyorot sejarah dan perjalanan hidup nabi terakhir dari sebelum lahir sehingga akhir hayat. Ia merangkumi kisah suka duka, cabaran dan rintangan yang dilalui sepanjang perjuangannya menyampaikan kebenaran.

الرحيق المختوم، هو أول كتاب أقرأه في سيرة النبي محمد -عليه الصلاة والسلام- وكُنت قد قررت من فترة بسيطة في التعمق في قراءة السيرة النبويّة، وهذا الكتاب كان من اقتراح قريبتي كـونه كتاب مختصر ومُلّم في ذات الوقت، بالنسبة لي هو كتاب مُختصر ولكنّه ليس ملّم تماماً؛ يركز على أشياء مُهمّة ويهمل أشياء مهمّة أخرى، يعرض كفاح الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم في الدعوة الإسلامية والغزوات، يعرض الجانب العسكري والتاريخي من حياة الرسول ويقدم الأدلة الواضحة على أن الرسول -صلى الله عليه وسلم- كان أكبر قائد عسكري في الدنيا، ويوضح المعاناة والكفاح في تبليغ الرسالة الإسلامية حتى أبلغها على أكمل وجه،ولكنّه لا يعرض الجانب الآخر من حياة الرسول والذي لا يقل أهميّة عن الجانب العسكري، لا يذكر البيت النبوي إلا باختصار شديد، حياة الرسول مع زوجاته وأبنائه وبناته ولا المواقف الهامة في هذا الصدد .

Benar seperti yang diulas penulis, corak penulisan bergaya novel dan santai yang diterapkan pada buku ini menjadikan setiap kisah yang dipaparkan dari setiap bab ke bab selanjutnya ‘lebih hidup’. Hati saya berasa cukup dekat dengan Rasulullah SAW.
Kelebihan buku ini dibandingkan dengan buku-buku sejenis yang ditulis oleh sejarawan sebelum dan sesudahnya yaitu adanya periwayatan yang jelas sehingga dapat dipertanggungjawabkan keabsahannya.
Buku biografi Nabi Muhammad yang menggunakan perkataan yang mudah difahami, ringkas tapi padat dengan data yang amat menyentuh hati sesiapa sahaja yang membaca buku ini. Setelah sekian lama saya cuba untuk mencari buku ini semula, pertama kali saya membaca buku ini adalah pada tahun 2002, dan kata-kata yang digunakan di dalam buku ini masih terkesan dijiwa saya.
Ditulis oleh Dr. Muhammad Husain Haekal (1956 M.), penulis produktif dari Mesir. Buku ini diakui banyak kalangan sebagai buku sirah Nabi awal yang ditulis seorang muslim dengan metode ilmiah. Husain Haekal dalam menulis buku ini menggunakan referensi tidak hanya dari sumber-sumber keislaman, akan tetapi juga dari sumber di luar Islam.
غير أن الكتاب مع قيمته التي لا يُماري فيها إلا جاحد، حوى عددًا من الأحاديث الضعيفة والقصص الواهية ولم يُنبه المؤُلف على ضعفها وبُطلانها، وبنى على ذلك بعض الأحداث التي لم تصح، كقصة الغرانيق التي برر بها المشركون سجودهم عند سماع قراءة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم آيات سورة النجم، فالقصة باطلة كما حكم بذلك جمهور أهل العلم، وبنود وثيقة صلح يهود بني عوف مع المسلمين ولم يثبت منها شيء، وقصة حليمة السعدية وما حدث لها من كرمات بعدما أخذت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقد يستحسنها القارئ إلا أن القصة ضعيفة لا تثبُت والحق أحق أن يُتبع فالسيرة دين يلزم تحري أخبارها كالسُّنة والفقه، والله تعالى أعلم

As Portion of his critique, Shaykh Bilal supplies a copious quantity of sources for Seerah during the English language that Dr Mohuiddin could have employed rather than the ones quoted in “Revelation”. Relatedly, the citations from this review are a must-study for any person trying to find good Seerah sources. just like all translations, I am absolutely sure a number of the initial sentiment and literary excellent of “Prophet of Mercy” was lost. on the other hand, the translation is Evidently very intentional and strives to provide the feeling from the author. This comes as no surprise as the translation was finished by a committed pupil of Shaykh Nadwi. This is very important simply because even though it is quite educational and complete, it nonetheless conveys Shaykh Nadwi’s ardent enjoy to the Prophet (noticed) and fervour for the field of Seerah. Shaykh Nadwi’s commentary about the lifetime of Prophet (noticed) are priceless and set this e book besides a number of other present-day works. sad to say a lot of English Seerah style guides strike a very apologetic tone which consider far from the value of a Prophetic biography. even though Shaykh Nadwi does relate the Seerah to currently’s planet, he doesn’t explain away everything for concern of upsetting a contemporary audience.
